Military Thank Yous
Thank Yous We’ve Received for Harry Taylor from Soliders and Their Families
Bryant Lusk
At the age of 40, I am the youngest of three. My father served in the US Army, my brother served in the US Marines, my sister served in the US Army, and I served in the US Air Force. I am also an independent when it comes to politics as both parties have their pros and cons.
It sickens me without end to see what the current administration is doing to this country, and the world at large. Quite often these individuals live within the walls of their ivory towers oblivious to the pain, death, and destruction that they have generated for years to come. What makes it even worse is that they have stretched the law and the truth beyond recognition to obtain their goal(s) whatever those goals may be.
When I spoke out against the IRAQ war, prior to the invasion, I was labeled a coward and a traitor. Yet my entire family has devoted a segment of our lives toward defending those who would label me a coward and a traitor. The stuffy, elitist attitudes of the IRAQ war mongers has caused nothing but death, destruction, instability, and even more hatred for this country.
For these reasons and many others, I truly appreciate Mr. Taylor’s courage and sincerity, which he displayed the day that he spoke out against the failed totalitarian policies of the horrible leadership that currently sits in the oval office.
Rumsfeld is a coward, Cheney is a bully, and Bush is void of any hint of the wisdom required to guide a force as powerful as these United Sates of America. For true wisdom seeks the wisdom of others.
The blood of those soldiers who died are their hands…

“The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else.”

May 7, 1918As a member of the Armed Services (US Army), I would like to thank you Mr. Taylor for your eloquent words of truth. You personify the essence of what’s worth defending. I couldn’t be any prouder to be a soldier and an American.

Dear Harry-
As you are obviously well aware, this administration has done grievous harm to the U.S. and to the world’s perception of the U.S.It’s only through the sanity and actions of our citizenry that we will be able to rebuild a nation that is respected, and, indeed, worthy of that respect.
As a veteran of the United States Army, the freedom that you demonstrated (and the values that you expressed, albeit indirectly) are precisely why I am proud to say I served.
May the sanity of light and love be bestowed upon us all, and may the United States truly represent a “beacon on the hill” for all of humanity. May the days of hiding behind political rhetoric be ended soon, and may brave men and women such as yourself continue to shine!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart, the center of my mind, and the ineffable expanse that is my soul.
Paul
Thank you for your courage. That son of a bitch Bush murdered my son in the sands of Iraq and I pray for the day when my family and 2300+ other families will have the deaths of our loved ones avenged with Bush hanging from the end of a traitors noose - after a fair trial of course!
Gene LePage
As a former soldier in the US Army I agree with your every word. Thank you sir for having the courage to speak such true words.

I am a mother whos son is about to go to one of our military academies. I also look at my wonderful flag, and at the present time feel it is not flying as proud (with hope it will return). Thank you for saying what needs to be said. This adminastration if living like know other and avoiding voices that need to be heard. The news media are not asking the questions and digging deep showing what needs to be shown.
Thanks for being our voice. Keep it up.
Chaplain, Major Lisa A. Pineau, USAF (ret.)
Hi Harry,
I am a retired military chaplain, the daughter of a retired military chaplain, and the fifth ordained member of our family. It is my belief that our culture has lost the ability to disagree gracefully, and that this is hampering our ability to guide our nation reasonably in a dangerous time for the world.
The issues you raise were critical to the future of our country and the well-being of the world. The rest of the world is inspired by our leadership to do likewise, and right now that example is a dangerous one, in my view. Thanks, ~Lis

Thank you for speaking out!!! As a mother of a soldier who served 1 year in Afghanistan, I am totally ashamed of our administration also for continuing to allow our military personnel being subjected to the ongoing “war” in Iraq! I support our troops - BRING THEM HOME NOW!!

I thank Harry Taylor and all who have the intelligence and the pluck to stand up to the criminals in our administration and congress.
This is particularly pertinent because I’m a member of a Military family!

I get it now. On my first attempt at this I left the “enter code” filed blank. Anyway, I would just like to state that. as military retiree, it is refreshing to see that at least one other person has the guts to to say what the majority of Americans want to say.
Bless you, Mr. Taylor!

I am a VN vet with a daughter in the military. Thanks for doing what few of us dare do.
Darlene Wilson
Thank you - from a military mom.

As a retired military man, Thank you for coming to the aid of our country. It is greatly appreciated

As a member of the Armed Forces, I thank you for expressing EXACTLY what many of my brethren and I feel, but are restricted from saying while still in uniform. As soon as I retire (later this year), I too will be able to speak out loudly. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANKYOU!

Braveman Harry: I spent 3 tours in Vietnam with the Marines, and what you did took more courage. I wish I had the courage of conscience that you showed with Emporer Bush. I will always feel guilty for the destruction, and terror in inflicted on a people that never attacked us. Thanks for using the first amendment, as a statement to us all. Lance

Thank you Harry Taylor. I have often wondered what I would say to Mr. Bush if I had that misfortune. I would like to turn my back on him like they did at Ohio State a few years ago. As a mother of a Marine helicopter pilot, I would like him to read the obituaries of all the fallen and to read every single hospital chart from start to finish of those at Walter Reed. I don’t think there are enough hours left in his lifetime to accomplish the above, let alone to truly relish how much blood is on his hands. Thank you again.
Hermie
Thank you Harry Taylor. You are indeed a courageous and honorable man among us. You have made us proud to be true Americans by your speaking for us in our absence. I am a United States Marine and I would be honored to serve with you to protect our country from all it’s enemies. Your courage is remarkable.

Am I the 1000th person to say, Give `em hell, Harry? Too bad. Give `em hell, Harry!
